 Pakistan sold its Historic Embassy Building in Washington D.C. for $7.1 Million on the 13th of July 2023.


The historic embassy building of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., vacant since 2003 and lost its diplomatic status in 2018, was successfully sold for $7.1 million on 13 July 2023. This building, formerly serving as a chancery, saw an increase in its assessed value due to local taxes and a change in property classification. Hafeez Khan, an American businessman of Pakistani origin based in Dallas, emerged as the highest bidder, securing the property for $7.1 million, Exceeding the initial bid of $6.8 million. This sale allows Pakistan to generate revenue ease financial pressures and enhance embassy security by eliminating potential risks associated with owning an empty property.

Asia Cup 2023 Schedule: Men's ODI Asia Cup 2023

 The schedule for the Men's ODI Asia Cup 2023 has been Announced



The 2023 Asia Cup schedule has been released, and it is set to take place from August 30 to September 17. To be hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The event will kick off with Pakistan facing Nepal in the opening match, held in Multan. The tournament will feature a fifty-overs format composed of six teams, grouped into two sets of three teams each.

Group A comprises Pakistan, India, and Nepal, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The tournament's structure will involve a combination of matches hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

A significant match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 2, which will take place in Kandy.

President Arif Alvi's recent tweet : He denies signing of key laws

'AS God is my witness': President denied the signing of Official Secrets Amendment Bill 2023 and Pakistan Army Amendment Bill 2023 as he disagreed with these laws.




In a surprising twist, President Arif Alvi has revealed that he did not provide his signature to pass the amendments to the Official Secrets Act and the Pakistan Army Act into law. He disagreed with these laws and accused his staff of going against his wishes.

Alvi stated on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), "I want to emphasize that I did not approve the Official Secrets Amendment Bill, 2023, and the Pakistan Army Amendment Bill, 2023 due to my disagreements with their content."

The president disclosed that he had instructed his staff to return the bills unsigned within the specified time frame to prevent their implementation.

"When I asked them again if the invoices had been returned, they told me that they had. However, I have now discovered that my staff acted contrary to my instructions. I believe that Allah, who knows all, will grant forgiveness. Nevertheless, I seek forgiveness from those who might be adversely affected," the president expressed.



So far, the President's House has not released a statement.

Organized by the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the exhibition will span seven days starting from September 2 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), promising novel surprises and features to enhance the auction experience.

The upcoming auction at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) will feature six categories of captive-bred falcons, including Pure Gyr, Pure Gyr male, and Pure Saker, sourced from both local and international farms. Additionally, competitions will take place to determine the finest captive-bred falcons and the top choices among rare falcons.
